We'll make a beautiful sterling ring.
Very substantial, these high-quality artisan rings will be treasured for a lifetime.
A spinning band of sterling encircles a wide, hefty band of brushed sterling silver. As a MEDITATION RING: playing with the moving portion of the band give the hands something to do and the repetitive motion helps to soothe and calm the mind. With practice, the wearer can simply sit and quietly and mediate on the spinning band, while surroundings can be tuned out and a sense of calm and serenity results.
In this all-day workshop discover how to create a solid sterling band, then surround it with your choice of a spinning band.

INTERMEDIATE SKILL LEVEL: Basic Soldering Skill Required
SKILLS LEARNED: soldering, ring sizing, band sizing, filing, oxidizing, polishing and finishing
LEARN THE LANGUAGE, the tools and tips for silversmithing, using a small butane torch and basic tools.
DRESS FOR A MESS! Wear old clothes or bring an old shirt to wear over your work clothes. If you have long hair, please wear it up!

We’ve all fought battles. The Embrace Bracelet was created to honor those battles. The handcrafted links are interlocked and symbolize the power of love and prayer. The power of loved ones and friends that stand by your side during your raging storms.
Solve the mystery of the terms like ‘pickle’, flux and ‘fire scale’. Learn the language, the tools, and tips for silversmithing, using a small micro-torch and basic tools.
DRESS FOR A MESS! Wear old clothes or bring an old shirt to wear over your work clothes. If you have long hair, please wear it up, and wear close toe shoes.
TECHNIQUES: basic soldering, wire shaping, filing, oxidizing, polishing and finishing.
SKILL LEVEL: Suitable for beginners, even if you’ve never soldered before.
We keep this class simple and use simple tools you can get from the hardware store or online for minimal cost.

Use sterling silver wire to sculpt and solder a variety of botanical shapes. Mix and match gemstones and wire forms to build your own blooming bouquet.

Guided by an instructor with over 25 years of jewelry design experience, you’ll learn traditional techniques like soldering, texturing, and bezel setting — then take them to a whole new level of creativity. Learn the tools used and how to setup a simple, inexpensive soldering station at home.
This isn’t a cookie-cutter project class — it’s a journey to discover your own signature style. You’ll be encouraged to experiment with shapes, embellishments, and metal finishes to make your piece as unique and free-spirited as you are.
