Learn the fundamentals of artisan jewelry and metalsmithing with our artisan jewelry classes. Create rings, pendants, earrings and so much more as you build your designing and making skills.
These in-person classes give you hands-on experience with an instructor with almost 25 yrs. of jewelry-making experience. Learn to create variations on these basic techniques in order to imagine and design your own unique jewelry creations!
Start with the basics then move on to more advanced wire working and metal smithing techniques.
Most classes are held in Knoxville & surrounding areas, but I hold classes in homes, apartment clubhouses, offices, galleries, coffee shops, and more! Heck, I'll even teach on the beach, lol.

Each of us transforms through multiple stages in our lives. The Butterfly is a universal symbol of change, celebrating love, resurrection, rebirth, survival, and transformation.
This class covers the fundamental skills for creating a basic wire-wrapped bracelet, but we take it a step further by hand sculpting the wire to create soft butterfly wing shapes, then embellishing it with strategically placed beads to form this sweet, fluttering butterfly bracelet.
There are endless variations of this design by mixing smooth or twisted wire and mixing metals.
We'll use sterling silver for the bracelet, and a variety of sterling, gold, and rose gold beads to accent.
SKILL LEVEL: Beginners Encouraged, no experience needed.
SKILLS LEARNED: Basic soldering techniques, gemstone setting, jewelry sawing, metal texturing, filing, oxidizing, hand finishing and polishing.
INCLUDES: all the materials & supplies.

Let’s go dark & spooky, lol. Create a Gothic-inspired sterling pendant on a 20-inch sterling chain. Learn sweat soldering by soldering several pieces at once.
You’ll have a creative license in this class, as we’ll provide gemstones, spiders & snakes, skulls, moons, bugs, and more!
We’ll use small torches you can get from the hardware store, so you can easily set up a place to do this at home!

LEARN THE TOOLS: All the things needed for silversmithing, using a small torch and basic tools. We keep the setup simple and use tools you can get from Amazon or the hardware store for minimal cost.
LEARN SAFETY! I’ll teach you how to set up your own small silversmithing area, as inexpensively as possible. Simply and safely.
SKILL LEVEL: Suitable for beginners, even if you’ve never soldered before.
DRESS FOR A MESS! Wear old clothes or bring an old shirt to wear over your work clothes. If you have long hair, please wear it up! No long, loose jewelry or scarves.

Imagine designing jewelry with unique, one-of-a-kind beads you make yourself.
Polymer Clay is easy, very inexpensive, and can be bought at your local craft or art stores and fired in a small toaster oven. No kiln or special tools are required, so the cost is minimal.
Learn several beads designs such as flowers, leaves, and shells.
This is a techniques class, so rather than perfecting, we will focus on learning as much as possible! Techniques include making molds, color blending, the skinner blend, stamping, inks, pigment powders & mokume gane’.

Reminiscent of intertwined dancers. But is the dance a graceful, sensual waltz or a sultry tango? Sterling wire will be shaped and hammered into graceful arcs that layer and intersect. Then we’ll weave and embellish with gemstones, glass or pearls. It's wearable art! Your vision, your design!
Oh, and we'll even create our own chain from sterling silver!
